Several series of novel functional polymers have been developed for electrical polymer memories. They have been designed and synthesized, which can enrich electron donor capability or electron acceptor capability or their combinations. They all were tested mostly in a sandwich device structure; some of those were additionally tested in a device hybridized with a transistor. In addition, they were investigated in aspects of memory mechanisms. Also, their nanoscale thin films’ morphology and interfaces were examined in detail. All the results are discussed with taking into consideration all possible factors involved in the memory phenomena. |
