The novel low-bandgap random copolymers (P3DT-DFQx) based on difluoro-quinoxaline and thiophene derivative are synthesized by a Stille coupling reaction, changing the ratio of electron-rich unit and electron-deficient unit. With a highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) energy level in the range of -5.33 eV to -5.52 eV, these polymers exhibit an optical bandgap of 1.85–1.94 eV. All the polymers display strong absorption in the range of 350 - 600 nm in o-dichlorobenzene solution state and 400 - 700 in film state. Bulkheterojunction (BHJ) solar cells are further fabricated by blending the as-prepared polymer with (6,6)-phenyl-C60-butyric acid methyl ester (PC60BM) or (6,6)-phenyl-C70-butyric acid methyl ester (PC70BM) at different weight ratios. |
