Stille coupling of difluoro-quinoxaline with thiophene derivative, changing the ratio of electron-rich unit and electron-poor unit, gave novel low-bandgap random copolymers (P3DT-DFQx). The polymers showed an optical bandgap of 1.85-1.94 eV with a highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) energy level in the range of -5.33 eV to -5.52 eV. All the polymers are observed strong absorption in the range of 350 – 600 nm in o-dichlorobenzene solution state and 400 – 700 in film state. Their 5% weight-loss temperatures (Td) were all above 390 ℃, indicating good thermal stability. Bulkheterojunction (BHJ) solar cells are further fabricated by blending the as-prepared polymer with (6,6)-phenyl-C60-butyric acid methyl ester (PC60BM) or (6,6)-phenyl-C70-butyric acid methyl ester (PC70BM) at different weight ratios. |
