제목 Preparation of Polymeric Precursor for B-C-N Ceramics via Hydroboration of Borazine and B-triethynyl, N-trimethyl Borazine
초록 Borazine or partially substituted borazine derivatives as boron nitride (BN) precursors should be strictly handled under the inert atmosphere due to high sensitivity against moisture in air. One may anticipate to synthesize the air stable borazine monomer as a precursor of BN based nanocomposite phase. At this work, we synthesized B-triethynyl N-trimethyl borazine (TEB) with 45-50% yield by Grignard reaction with B-trichloro, N-trimethyl borazine and ethynylmagnesium chloride in THF, which is the novel air stable borazine derivative. TEB was hydroborated with B-H groups of borazine at 0℃ for 30hours to form polymeric product by standard Schlenk technique. The obtained polymer was characterized by IR, TG/DTA, NMR. The pyrolyzed specimens at various temperatures were also characterized by XRD, SEM, XPS, NMR. It is most likely, at present phase, that the polymeric precursor may convert to B4C/BN or C/BN composite which is work for super high temperature materials or semiconductors with various band gap energies by controlling their atomic composition or atomic arrangement.
