Effect of P3HT regioregulartity on the solution-state crystallization of 1D hybrid P3HT-b-P2VP/QDs nanowires |

The charge transport efficiency of heterojunction composed of organic/inorganic hybrid materials can be affected by nanoscale morphology of hybrid materials and the crystallinity of conjugated polymer (CP) in electro-optical devices. The degree of crystallinity of CP could be determined by molecular parameters (e.g., molecular weight, polydispersity, and length of aliphatic side chains). In particular, the regioregularity (RR) of polymer chains has been identified as a critical factor governing thin-film morphology. Followed by this, we investigated the fabrication of hybrid nanowires (NWs) composed of p-type CP and n-type inorganic quantum dots (QDs) by exploiting the crystallization-driven solution assembly of poly(3-hexylthiophene)-b-poly(2-vinylpyridine) (P3HT-b-P2VP) rod-coil amphiphiles, which have different RR value of P3HT block. |
