Recently, Supercritical fluids have been used in material synthesis and processing because of their special properties such as high diffusivity, low viscosity, and low surface tension. Carbon dioxide is the favorite solvent in SCF processes because it has relatively low critical temperature and pressure and because it is inexpensive, nonflammable, nontoxic, and readily available. In this study, we prepared the polymer/MWNTs nanocomposites using supercritical carbon dioxide. MWNTs used in this study are raw MWNTs modified with a methacryl amide. The nanocomposites of polymer/MMWNTs were charaterized by SEM, TC-30(thermal conductivity), and DMA. |
