제목 Enhanced mechanical and thermal properties of carbon nanotube polymer composite using covalent linkages and three roll milling process
초록 The aim of this research is to suggest a possible method to enhance the thermal and mechanical properties of polymer composites comprising homogeneously dispersed CNTs and enhanced nanotube polymer interface bonding, facilitated through mutual localized chemical reaction between functional groups on the CNTs with groups on the polymer and an effective mixing process (premixing and three-roll milling). We then show thermal and mechanical properties of such functionalized CNT/polymer composites, at identical CNT weight fractions, are superior to those using unfunctionalized nanotubes.
