제목 Thenil and furil based novel green light-emitting electrochemical cells
초록 Light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) [1] are considered as one of the simplest kinds of electroluminescent devices and a potential replacement for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). LEC features a single-layered air-stable electro-active material sandwiched between two air-stable electrodes with a scalable solution-based fabrication process. On fine-tuning the energy gap of the luminescent organic active material, any desired emission color can be delivered. Green-emitting Donor–Acceptor type two ionic emitters were designed and synthesized. The potential of thenil and furil imidazole were used here to produce excellent green emitters by coupling with triazine derivatives. These emitters showed excellent solubility, high luminescence in solution and solid-state, high thermal stability, and good film-forming abilities. Bright green emissions with Commission Internationale de I’Eclairage coordinates of (0.23, 0.69) and (0.26, 0.67), were achieved by applying these emitters in a light-emitting electrochemical cell (LEC) device stack.
