Relationship between Hardness and Young’s modulus of elastomers upon Temperature Change |
초록 |
The relationship between the hardness and Young’s modulus upon temperature change was investigated in this study. A tensile tester and a newly designed IRHD-type hardness tester with a temperature control chamber were used to investigate the temperature effect on the hardness of elastomers. The temperature range for the test was –70℃ to 150℃. The results showed that Young’s modulus was proportional to the hardness as a function of temperature. The hardness of NR and SBR elastomers changed abruptly around Tg. |
