제목 The role of surface profiles on the morphology and crystalline structure of ultrathin films of poly(vinylidene fluoride)
초록 Ultrathin films of PVDF were prepared by spin-coating at elevated temperature. The ITO and gold coated glass substrates and Si-wafers were used for this study. The samples and substrates were characterized using FT-IR and AFM. The surface energy parameters of the substrates were assessed using contact angle measurements. In our studies, the morphology and crystalline structure of ultrathin films were explained on the basis of competitive interactions between polymer, solvent, and substrates. The surface of the sample prepared on ITO substrate was homogeneous and flat, while it was not the case on the gold substrate and Si-wafers. The samples prepared on ITO substrates showed higher amount of β-crystalline phase, whereas the gold substrate and Si-wafers led to a mixture ofβ- and α-phase and γ-phase, respectively. The authors wish to thank the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF) for sponsoring this research through the SRC/ERC Program of MOST/KOSEF (R11-2005-065).
