제목 Mechanical properties of regenerated foundry sand with pre-treatment process
초록 Sand casting in cast industry is the most widely used process to produce molds and cores using cementitious binder. In this process, organic foundry binder system is the main production process owing to good adhesive strength and water resistance. However, large volume of combustion gas involving the evaporative chemical species at higher temperature is produced which leads to surface flaw. Moreover, both energy consumption and expense spent in the process of physical or thermal recycling of used-foundry sand raise manufacturing costs. Thus, inorganic binders that are satisfying with similar performance of organic binder spread out over the recently years. In this study, it was demonstrated the chemical recycling of used-foundry sand produced in inorganic binder system. And the impact on the strength with the amount of binder removal was studied.
