Although the bulk heterojunction solar cell based on conjugated polymer/PCBM ([6,6]-phenyl-C61 butyric acid methyl ester) blend as electron donor/acceptor is currently the best conjugated polymer-based solar cell, the percolation path of acceptor materials (PCBM) could not be easily formed through a simple solution process such as a spin-coating method. On the other hand, nanocrystalline inorganic semiconductors such as TiO2 have been also paid attention as a promising candidate of electron acceptor materials because these can be patterned into continuous network for electron transport. Therefore, we suggest the 3-component bulk heterojunction structure consisted with porous TiO2 layer with P3HT (poly[3-hexylthiophene]/PCBM blend as active layer for the high performance polymer-based solar cell. |
