제목 Development Status of Membrane-Electrode Assembly for Transportation Applications
초록 With the increasing environmental concerns and depletion of fossil fuel-based resources, there is a significantly growing interests in a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) as a promising electric power generating system because of high efficiency and power density, low operating temperature, and reduced release of environmental pollutants. Our research and development focus on the fabrication of a cost-competitive membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) with high power density and long durablity even at low Pt amount. The development of the MEA with balanced power and durability can contribute to the widespread commercialization of automotive PEMFC system. Future development on the MEA for transportation applications would be performed by balancing high power performance against long-term durability and manufacturing cost.
