Conducting polymer, Poly (3, 4-ethylenedioxythiophene): poly (styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) has been commonly used as a hole transport layer in organic electronic devices. PEDOT:PSS films as a hole transport layer have higher work functions (~5.2 eV) than that of ITO (Indium tin oxide, ~4.9 eV). It causes the hole injection between anode and the organic layers to be unfavourable because of the high injection barrier at the interface, and the hole injection is one of the limiting factors in device performance. To decrease such a large hole injection barrier between them, the modification of work function of PEDOT:PSS is necessary to achive high perfomance. In this study, we report the synthesis of conducting polymer PEDOT:P(SS-co-TFPMA) with different mole ratio of Poly(Styrene Sulfonate) and TFPMA (Tetrafluoropropylmethacylate) for tune of work function by controlling the chemical composition without adding any chemicals and applying extra treatment. |
