Pluronic triblock copolymers (PEOm-PPOn-PEOm), which are one of amphiphilic molecules have excellent phase behaviors in aqueous solution. Furthermore, the phase behavior of Pluronic block copolymers can be readily adjusted by the external conditions such temperature, additives or pH, and they are highly biocompatible. Thus, Pluronic block copolymers are applicable to nanotemplates or nanobuilding blocks. However, since the Pluronic block copolymer has different physical properties depending on the relative chain length between PEO and PPO or the molecular weight, their phase behaviors have not been fully exploited yet. Here, depending on the external conditions, the phase behaviors of Pluronic block copolymers have been investigated using small angle neutron and X-ray scattering. |
