As a popular catalyst, TiO2 is most attractive one because it is inexpensive, easily available, high photocatalytic activity and nontoxic. In this study, we synthesized porous TiO2 beads by Sol-gel method with hydrothermal treatment. Titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP), ethanol and Potassium chloride were prepared to TiO2 precursor solution and hexadecylamine (HDA) was used as a structure-directing agent. Hydrophobic long-chain alkyl groups tend to self-organize into micelles to reduce the interfacial free energy in the solution. Porous TiO2 bead has a large surface area and can be used in many applications. The synthesized TiO2 beads crystallinity, surface area and morphology were characterized by XRD, BET, SEM, DRS and TEM. |
