A new chemosensors based on photoluminescent aminosilole have been developed for the detection of inorganic acids. The detection of hydrochloric acid is achieved from the measuring of quenching photoluminescence of aminosilole by adding the analyte. Aminomethylsilole [C4Ph4SiMeNH2] has been synthesized from the reaction of 1-chloro-1-methyl-2,3,4,5-tetraphenylsilole with excess Ammonia. A linear relationship from the Stern-Volmer plot has been obtained for the detection of hydrochloric acid. Detection of other analytes such as sulfuric acid and nitric acid will be presented. |
