Microneedle for Enhancing Sensitivity to Detect Microplastics |
초록 |
Recently, a tremendous attention has been focused on detrimental aspects of microplastics in terms of biological and environmental issues. The microplastics are usually smaller than 1 mm in diameter and these microplastics have potentials to bind toxic substances, which are likely to be mistaken for food for planktons or sea creatures. Toxic microplastics accumulated through food chain can be fatal even to higher predators like humans. Many kinds of sensors for microplastics could have been introduced including a new type of Raman method to invoke amplification effects like surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). In this study, laser engraving process was adopted to make mold for poly dimethyl siloxane(PDMS) microneedle array on glass substrate cast by polymer pre-casting and needle array was stamped to have an enhanced Raman detection. |
