제목 Synthesis and photobleaching properties of poly(vinyl alcohol)/poly(acrylic acid) hydrogels containing TiO2
초록 A novel film consisting of TiO2 and pH-responsive poly(vinyl alcohol)/poly (acrylic acid) hydrogel was prepared by radical polymerization as a support for photocatalytic application. The efficiency of photocatalyst was tested for the two different target pollutants by UV/VIS spectrophotometer at 385nm. Scanning electron microscopy was used to elucidate the morphology of TiO2/hydrogel composite; X-ray diffraction was used to determine crystallinity; an instron tester was used to measure mechanical properties. The composite of hydrogel and TiO2 was synthesized in order to cover the poor mechanical properties of hydrogel. Also, the hydrogel containing TiO2 photocatalyst had the practical advantages of easy separation and removal from the polluted environment. It could be applied as a viable technique for the treatment of wastewater.
