In view of tribo-materials, understanding of the charge accumulation plays a vital role in improvement of output performance for triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs). In this research, the surface of tribo-material was modified with high permittivity nanoparticles. The effect of dielectricity and work function on the output performance is discussed experimentally and theoretically. Both the surface charge density and the charge transfer quantity have a close relationship with the relative permittivity and work function of the tribo-material. High output performance TENGs based on composites of poly(1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecyl methacrylate) are fabricated by optimizing both the dielectric property and the work function of the tribo-materials. This work extends understanding of the triboelectrification produced by TENG from the viewpoint of materials. |
