Recently, high performance piezoelectric elements and devices have been investigated extensively for a variety of applications such as energy harvesting and sensing. In this research, we have manufactured a series of hybrid nanofibers based on poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) and barium titanate (BaTiO3) via electrospinning, poling and annealing. The microstructures of the as-spun and annealed hybrid nanofibers are characterized by using XRD, SEM, FT-IR, and DSC. The piezoelectric properties of the hybrid nanofibers are investigated under compression and bending deformations. The piezoelectric results are discussed by considering the microstructures, BaTiO3 content (0-60 wt%) and annealing conditions of the hybrid nanofibers. |
