The Pt/Co ratio on Al2O3-modified SiC catalysts was studied for obtaining high catalytic performance during Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction. SiC support was previously modified 1wt% TEOS through impregnation method for enhancing a dispersion of Al2O3, and Al2O3 was subsequently introduced by sol-gel method using aluminum precursor of aluminum isopropoxide on SiC support (denoted as Al2O3-SiC). The content of alumina on SiC was fixed to 15wt%, and 15wt%Co aqueous solution was impregnated on the modified SiC support, and Pt precursor was successively impregnated on Co/Al2O3-SiC support without calcinations step. The Pt/Al2O3-SiC content was varied from 0 to 0.5%. The 0.2wt%Pt on Co/Al2O3-SiC catalyst was found to show a good CO conversion compared with the other catalysts. The different catalytic performances on Pt/Co/Al2O3-SiC catalysts were explained with the results of XRD, TPR and BET analysis. |
