Synthesis and Characterization of Polyimides Derived from Diamines Containing Imidazole |

New imidazole containing diamines have been synthesized and prepared several polyimides (PIs) with various dianhydrides such as BPDA, PMDA, ODA, 6FDA, CHDA. The new diamine was successfully synthesized by the nucleophilic substitution reaction. The imidazole ring is a useful n-type block with high electron affinity and good thermal stability. These imidazole-containing diamines have higher electron-donating properties due to the lone-pair electrons at nitrogen, which affords high hole-transport property. Imidazole-containing polyimides have been increased chain packing and disturb formation crystal part due to big side group and kink structure. The APIs were soluble in common polar organic solvents. T10 (temperature of 10% weight loss) of imidazole-containing polyimides were ranged from 382-402 ℃, and all films show the amorphous. The transmittance was 87 % ~ 85 % at the 450 nm. |
