An oxalate-connected thermogel of pol(ethylene glycol)-poly(propylene glycol)-poly(ethylene glycol) multi block copolymers was prepared. As the temperature increased, a unimer to micelle transition accompanying the endothermic process was observed in UV-vis spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, and micro calorimetry. The thermogelling polymer aqueous solutions underwent sol-gel-sol transitions in a concentration range of 8.0~28.0 wt. % as the temperature increased. The sol to gel transition of the thermogelling polymer aqueous solution (20 wt. %) occurring at about 15~25oC accompanied 4.8~4.9 cal/g polymer and the transition was reversible. |
