In this study, we synthesized Cu(II)-tetrabenzoporphyrin precursors by novel synthetic method and measured the characteristics of OTFT devices fabricated by solution processing. In general synthetic method for tetrabenzoporphyrin precursors require too many steps, therefore, we have developed a short and efficient synthesis of tetrabenzoporphyrin precursors. Furthermore, To fabricate transistor device by solution processing, it is important to prepare well-soluble materials in organic solvents. To enhance the solubility of porphyrins, alkyl substituted porphyrins at meso-positions were synthesized and their copper complexes were soluble enough for the use of device fabrication by solution processing. Solution-processed OTFT was fabricated utilizing Cu(II)-tetrabenzoporphyrin precursor(Cu-TBP) and Cu(II)-meso-tetrahexy-tetrabenzoporphyrin precursor (Cu-THxBP) as semiconductor materials. |
