Improvingthe property of color filters has been a critical task for display devices. Thecolor filter is essential for display devices, and a solvent-based wetdispersion system has been used for the preparation. Many attempts have been madeduring the wet dispersion process to improve the pigment dispersity, for example,by introducing a synergist as a dispersing additive and optimizing the milling times.Dispersing additives were incorporated to prevent the aggregation of pigmentparticles. Applying various milling times was intended to determine optimum millingtime for a well-dispersed millbase. In this study, we present the preparationof phthalocyanine-based synergist as dispersing additive and the optimizationof milling time for well-dispersed millbase. By using the dynamic lightscattering method, the particle sizes in the millbase are estimated. Thespin-cast films are characterized by UV-Vis, TEM, and AFM measurements. Thedetailed results will be presented in the poster. |
