Electrospun Tubular Tissue Scaffolds with Aligned Micro and Nano Fibers |
초록 |
Electrospinning is one of the most common fabrication methods used to create polymeric scaffolds for tissue regeneration. This method has several variables that could be adjusted which could determine the resulting material. This study focuses on the optimization of the electrospinning parameters to create tubular scaffolds composed aligned micro and nano fibers. Rod and cylindrical collectors were modified to produce random and aligned fibers. The effect of the electrospinning parameter adjustments and collector modifications on fiber alignment was determined through image analysis of the electrospun fibers. Samples containing aligned fibbers were created though a layer by layer deposition of polymeric fibers with perpendicular orientation. Tensile strength of samples containing random and aligned fibers were tested using a universal testing machine. Wettability of the samples were determined using contact angle measurement. |
