A studies on the WGS reaction over a ceria based catalysts for application in fuel processor and hydrogen station |

Ceria-supported metals have great potential for use as water-gas-shift (WGS) catalysts in fuel processor and hydrogen station for fuel-cell applications. In this paper, we studied on the WGS reaction over Pt-Ni/CeO2 catalyst was carried out to develop an alternative to commercial LTS (Cu/Zn/Al2O3) catalyst. The Pt-Ni/CeO2 catalysts were prepared by an incipient wetness method and were characterized by N2 physisorption, CO chemisorption, TPR, XRD and TEM. It was found that 0.2wt%Pt-Ni/CeO2 catalyst showed higher catalytic stability than the commercial LTS catalyst for WGS reaction during the thermal cycling reaction performed at 250℃ over a time period of 130 h. |
