Conjugated Polymer-Based Hybrid Nanowire: Control of Quantum Nanorod Location |

Nano-heterojunction wires composed of organic conjugated polymers(CPs) and inorganic quantum dots can be applied to the optoelectronic devices. The charge separation and transport have been studied as a function of the shape and size of the quantum nanoparticles including dots, rods, and tetrapods. However, the location and orientation of nanoparticles along to the nanowire(NWs) longitudinal axis has not been reported. In this study, the CdSe quantum rods(QRs) confined in self-assembled NWs was controlled by changing the solution process. The gradually diffusion of poor solvent at top layer into good solvent containing CPs and QRs at bottom layer showed the different orientations of QRs as well as the lengths of hybrid NWs, which was confirmed by transmission electron microscopy tomography, and grazing incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering. This research provide a strategy for the fabrication of hybrid NWs with customized performance in optoelectronic device. |
