제목 Characterization and structural property of impact modified poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene ether) / polyamide alloys
초록 The polymer with the flame retardancy, dimension stability and heat resistance like a PPE have lots of attention in various fields such as construction materials, automotive interiors, electric and electronic devices etc. However, PPE has not only the disadvantage of difficult processing conditions because of its high melt viscosity but the inherent flame retardancy is deteriorated when it blended with other polymers, generally. In this study, we have prepared the blend of poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene ether) / polyamide alloys with appropriate compatibilizer by twin screw extruder and injection molding machine. Finally we have analyzed the result by tensile strength, IZOD impact strength, SEM, flame retardancy property, thermal properties.
