The roles of the ZrCo hydride bed in the ITER storage and delivery systems (SDS) are to store and supply the D-T fuel during the DT plasma operation. The hydride bed requires fast recovery and the delivery of D-T. When ZrCo is powderized, ZrCo is completely hydrided within 10 minutes. The hydriding was exothermic and rose in temperature. The prime purpose of this paper is to measure the temperature which was generated by hydriding process and to compare the change of temperature according to the amount of hydrogen. Therefore, this paper shows an experiment result for x=1.0, 1.5, 1.8 in ZrCoHx by using a small scale ZrCo bed. |
