Interface analysis between vertically aligned carbon nanotubes and graphene |
초록 |
Nano carbon materials such as fullerene (0D), carbon nanotubes (1D) and graphene (2D) have become one of the most studied nanomaterials due to its high electrical, thermal and mechanical properties. Recently, three-dimensional (3D) hybrid carbon materials such as combination of CNT-graphene were most interested research topic due to their advantages for such practical application as in transparent conductive films, supercapacitors, lithium ion batteries and solar cells. In theoretical studies predicted CNT and graphene junction has C-C covalent bonds and it can be improved their own properties. However, experiment studies was not known surely how to CNT and graphene were connected in the interface due to their special form was difficult to prepare the sample for the transmission electron microscope (TEM) analysis. For this reasons, we were synthesized the vertically aligned CNTs on graphene sheet and pre-treatment the hybrid film before the TEM sample preparation process by focuesd ion beam. This strategy of sample preparation technique was able to investigate the interfacial analysis of 3D CNT-graphene hybrid film by TEM. And also, energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) analysis were performed for study of growth mechanism and elemental distribution. These interfacial characterization results will be able to explain the 3D hybrid nano-carbon structure. |
