제목 VOCs removal performance in Surface dielectric barrier discharge plasma reactor
초록  Non-thermal plasma (NTP) is promising technology to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Among the several plasma discharge forms at atmospheric pressure, surface dielectric barrier discharge (SDBD) is favorably used for VOCs removal because of its accurate and stable operation in large volume.
 SDBD device was fabricated based on COMSOL simulation. SDBD device was placed in volume adaptable reactor with electric heater. VOCs removal performance in SDBD reactor was measured over a range of applied voltage, gas flow rate and reactor temperature when 100 ppm of toluene was fed. SDBD reactor efficiency was evaluated by calculating specific energy density (J/L) and energy efficiency(g/kWh). Effect of reactor volume and configuration on VOCs removal rate was also investigated.
