Photodetectors are useful optoelectronic devices that may be used in adjunction to many other optoelectronic devices such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and solar cells. Among many candidates for photodetector materials, organic-inorganic metal halide perovskites such as methylammonium lead (II) triiodide (MAPbI3) have recently received wide interest due to their outstanding optoelectronic properties. In addition, recent studies revealed the capability of perovskite photodetectors to output high detectivities and responsivities. However, perovskite devices still face challenges in maintaining performance at low light intensities, exhibiting a wide linear dynamic range (LDR). In this study, we apply interfacial treatment at the perovskite and charge transport layer interface with benzylammonium iodide, which increases the LDR and response speed of the perovskite device while also marginally improving its overall performance. |
