제목 Effect of hollow structured TiO2 particles on the thermal insulation and light reflecting abilities of the pigmented coating.
초록 In this study, hollow structured titania particles have been synthesized by the sol-gel method using polystyrene beads as a sacrificial template. Morphologies of the hollow structured particles were investigated by varying the sol-gel reaction condition. Void diameter and wall thickness of the synthesized particles were controlled by reaction system. Thermal conductivity test was conducted in order to evaluate thermal insulating property of polyester-melamine coatings incorporating hollow structured particles. In addition, light reflecting capability in IR region was estimated using UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer. A heat flux blocking performance of hollow particles pigmented coating was assessed by measuring temperature gradient at the backside of coated specimen under modified solar light irradiation.
