제목 Air stable colloidal cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals through surface inorganic passivation
초록 Colloidal all inorganic cesium lead halide perovskite (CsPbX3 where X is Cl, Br, and/or I) nanocrystals (NCs) have gained significant attention due to high PL QY, easily tunable band gaps, and flexibility in morphology control. However, instability of CsPbX3 NCs has strongly hampered the further applications in optoelectronic devices such as light emitting diodes and solar cells. Previously, drastic transformation in morphology of CsPbBr3 NCs has been reported when the CsPbBr3 NCs are exposed to ambient conditions. Also, in the case of CsPbI3 NCs, rapid phase transformation from PL-active cubic phase to PL-inactive orthorhombic phase has been reported.
 Here, we show in situ synthesis of air-stable CsPbX3 NCs by employing additional metal halide salts to the reaction solution. Resulting CsPbX3 NCs are in equivocal perovskite crystal structure without any sign of presence of impurity crystals, but are extremely stable under ambient condition with high humidity. Based on XRD, XPS, TEM, HAADF-STEM analyses, origin of superstability of our NCs is interpreted in the context of lead halide inorganic passivating layer formation upon the addition of metal halides during the synthesis.
