제목 Calcium Phosphate Mineralized Self-Assembled Nanoparticles  for Enhanced Photodynamic Therapeutic Efficacy
초록 In this study, we describe the potential of mineralized nanoparticles for photodynamic therapy (PDT) of tumors. The core-shell-corona polymer micelles (PM) of poly(ethylene glycol)–poly(L-aspartic acid)–poly(L-phenylalanine) (PEG-PAsp-PPhe) was utilized as a nanotemplate for calcium phosphate (CaP) mineralization. In particular, PAsp middle shells with anionic carboxylates serve as a template for CaP mineralization. The biocompatible CaP mineral layer of CaP-mineralized PM can protect efficiently the release of a photosensitizer (PS) at extracelluar environments (pH 7.4) and dissolve in endosomal compartments (pH 5.0) to facilitate the intracellular release of the drug. In vitro cytotoxicities and intracellular localization for breast cancer MCF-7 cells were examined. The time-dependent biodistributions were also monitored by using an in vivo optical imaging system. This novel hybrid photosensitizer-encapsulated nanocarrier may show the effective PDT efficacy for various tumors.
