제목 Shape Controllable Block Copolymer Nanoparticles Driven by Graphene Quantum Dot Surfactants
초록 The interfacial interaction between block copolymer(BCP) chains and surfactant surrounding the emulsion droplet greatly affects the final shape and internal morphology of BCP particles. Herein, we report a strategy for controlling the shape and internal morphology of poly(styrene-b-5-vinylpyridine) (PS-b-P4VP) particles through surface-modified graphene quantum dots (GQDs) surfactants. In our system, when hexylamine-grafted GQDs were used for surfactants, GQDs could not induce a neutral wetting of PS and P4VP at the particle surface, and the spherical BCP particles were produced. In contrast, oleylamine-grafted GQD surfactants were proven to be very effective for balancing interfacial interaction between two different PS/P4VP domains of BCP particles and water, thereby producing convex lens-shaped BCP particles. The approach developed in this work could provide an attractive route to the development of GQD-based, functional polymeric materials with novel nanostructures.
