The polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell is an attractive energy sources for mobility due to low operating temperature. Electrochemical catalysts for PEMFC are prepared by Pt-based nanomaterial with high efficiency, and reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO) is used as a support for highly durability of catalyst. The oxygen reduction reaction property of Pt/rGO catalyst is mainly dependent on the morphology of Pt nanoparticles. Thus, the catalytic property can be altered by tuning the parameters such as size and density of Pt particles. In this study, the Pt nanoparticles were controlled by adjusting the microwave conditions to confirm the effect of Pt particles on the catalytic performance. The small particles with uniform and high density increased the electrochemical surface area, which increased the catalytic activity. The catalyst with optimal synthesis process for Pt nanoparticle was obtained, and the prepared catalyst with the appropriate particles showed the best catalytic performance. |
