제목 | Graphene Size Control for Highly Efficient Oxygen Reduction Catalysts in Polymer Exchange Membrane Fuel cell |
초록 | The catalytic activity and durability of oxygen reduction reaction in PEMFC are important because it is operated at high voltage and strongly acidic conditions. Generally, carbon black is most widely used as a catalyst support, but it showed low catalytic durability due to corrosion in the air atmosphere by easily reacting with oxygen. To improve durability, graphene-type materials were reported as support material. Especially, reduced graphene oxide (rGO) show high corrosion resistance and prevent agglomeration of platinum. In this research, the size of rGO was reduced through ultrasonic for efficient surface reaction with a larger surface area, higher metal dispersion. Small rGO were synthesized as a support of Pt catalyst. Consequentially, the performance and stability of Pt/srGO were enhanced compared with Pt/rGO and Pt/CB. Especially, Pt/srGO with 2hr sonication has the highest oxygen reduction reaction and stability due to few defects and little electro conductivity of support. |
