제목 Utilizing Phosphonated Alginate Derivatives as High-Efficiency Titanium surface coating materials
초록 Titanium is a metal with high corrosion stability and is widely used in implants and artificial joints. When titanium is used as an implant, how quickly the gingival bone attaches is the most important factor in implant surgery. Alginate derivatives were prepared to improve osseointegration and function about titanium surface. Phosphonated alginate was synthesized with 3-aminopropylphosphonic acid (P-alginate). The phosphonate group of P-Alginate can add ability to coating alginate on titanium surface and it was identified by 31P NMR and FT-IR. There was a specific peak derived from phosphonate group at about 24 ppm form external standard. X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and water contact angle were carried out for characterization of titanium surface treated with P-alginate. To confirmed toxicity, cytotoxicity test was performed. Cell-adhesion test was demonstrated to improve cell adhesion on titanium surface.
