Polymeric nanocomposites have been received great attention in scientific interest and industry because they can be applied to nanoelectronics, polymeric bionanomaterials, nanocomposite-based drug delivery, and so on. Among various types of synthetic method developed, photopolymerization can be one of promising techniques to prepare a nano/polymer nanocomposites because the excited electrons from the nanoparticles can play a role to source of initiation the radical polymerization. In this work, we investigated the photo-induced polymerization by controlling wavelength of incident light, polymerization time, reaction temperature, and etc. We monitored the UV-Vis absorption spectra of synthesized Au NPs@PAA to observe the change in dielectric constant near Au nanoparticles and the morphological change was confirmed by TEM. Also, we characterized the chemical structure of the products using FT-IR and other analytical tools. |
