제목 Integrated Bioprocess for Bioalcohols Production
초록 With the depletion of fossil resources and the concerns of environmental pollution, there has been substantial growing interest in the production of 2,3-butanediol (2,3-BD) from renewable resources since it has wide industrial applications. In this study, we present an integrated 2,3-BD fermentation and recovery process. The ldhA-deficient K. pneumoniae strain yielded about 110 g/L of 2,3-BD in a fed-batch fermentation. 2,3-BD recovery process consists of pretreatment, concentration, precipitation, and purification. Isopropanol could precipitate more than 92% and 99% of organic acids and inorganic salts from the fermentation broth. At a final step, we could obtain 2,3-BD with 96% purity at an yield of more than 90% by a simple vacuum distillation.
