제목 Effect of Particle Size and Dispersion on Thermal Conductivity and Mechanical Properties of Silicone/Expanded Graphite Composites
초록 Graphite is recognized as the best filler due to its excellent thermal conductivity, low cost, and good dispersion in matrix. The layer of the graphite with thickness of 20 to 100nm is called expanded graphite. It has been widely used as a polymer composite material. This study aimed to investigate the effect of size and dispersion of Expanded graphite (EG) on thermal conductivity and mechanical properties of silicone/EG composites. The silicone/EG composites with the mass fraction of 1%, 3%, 5%, 10%, and 20% EG were prepared by 2 kinds of mixing method (bulk, solvent). Compared to the pure silicone polymer, silicone/EG composite filled with 20% of EG (140um of average particle size), prepared by solvent mixing method dramatically improved the thermal conductivity from 0.15 to 1.1431 W/m K.
