For soft tissue application, 3D collagen-biodegradable polymer composite cancellous scaffolds were prepared by using crosslinking and dehyration. The physiochemical properties of crosslinked collagen-biodegradable polymer composite scaffolds were characterized by water contact angle measurement, pore morphology and interconnectivity using scanning electron microscopy(SEM). In addition, mechanical properties such as tensile strength and bending stress recovery for determining the elasticity of scaffolds were measured. Our result demonstrtes that relative osteoblastic cell affinites for the crosslinked collagen-biodegradable polymer composite scaffolds vs crosslinked collagen scaffolds was considerably increased.
