제목 Improvement of silica dispersity using acrylic dispersants in wet masterbatch system
초록 Wet masterbatch (WMB) technology has been studied to develop high content of highly disperse silica compounds. This technique means solidifying surface-modified silica with a rubber solution. Currently, there are many dry master batch (DMB) dispersants in styrene butadiene rubber to improve silica dispersibility. However, in the WMB method, the kinds of dispersants for improving the dispersibility of silica are limited, and they are still being studied. Therefore, in this study, carboxylized acrylic dispersants were synthesized for dispersant applicable to WMB process. In order to measure the silica dispersity in the rubber, the payne effect was confirmed using a rubber process analyzer (RPA), and dynamic viscoelastic properties were also confirmed. As a result, the two dispersants used increased the dispersibility of the silica in the rubber and improved tensile strength, abrasion resistance, wet traction and rolling resistance.
