Currently, carbon-based materials have beenresearched on their physicochemical, thermal stability, electrical andmechanical properties. Among these materials, graphene oxide (GO) has recentlyreceived considerable attention. Commonly, graphite is oxidized to GO and isthen chemically or thermally reduced to produce functionalized graphite. GO isa promising candidate filler for use in composites because of its high surfacearea, various reaction sites, low density, high thermal resistance, and goodconductivity. However, conventional GO is high-cost carbon-based material, relatively. Therefore, we fabricated coal GO and coal GO/epoxy composites inthis study. Specimen of coal GO/epoxy was investigated contact angle andmechanical properties (KIC, GIC). We could foundenhancement of surface free and mechanical properties of coal GO/epoxycomposites. |
