Hydrogels are promising to be used for various applications, such as drug delivery, tissue engineering, soft actuators, and robots. All of these applications require integrated performance in mechanics and function, such as strength, toughness, shape memory, self-healing, and so on. Since most hydrogels have contained a lot of water, to apply for soft actuators, it is vital to strengthen the mechanical properties. Hence reduced graphene oxide with carboxyl groups (CRGO) which has excellent adhesiveness, conductivity and solubility is a proper candidate. Therefore, we synthesized CRGO hydrogels to give mechanical properties such as high flexibility, electro-responsive and self-healing properties. The swelling properties, gel fraction, and electrically triggered bending motion under an electric stimulus were investigated. Also, the cell viability was evaluated using a cervical cancer cell line. |
