PLCL membrane fabrication & Potential possibility as a Patch for Skin tissue Regeneration |

Dermatological and plastic surgical techniques show consistent advances in accordance to increasing concern on human health and aesthetic value. Aesthetic and functional states of skin tissue are considerably improved by cosmetic treatments by providing bioactive agents through appropriate pathways. In this regard, we fabricated poly(lactic acid-co-caprolactone) (PLCL) membranes. The chemical state of the membrane was analyzed by an Fourier transform infrared spectroscope. Changes in drug release pattern and degradation effects on solution were characterized by measurements of the amount of release drug and solution pH, which will be directly related to the maintenance of the stability of the adjacent biological environment. The bioactivity of the PLCL membrane was evaluated via cell assays with respect to fibroblast proliferation. The current membrane can be further investigated for the development of skin patches with improved healing capability. |
