In this study, core / shell type PMMA-core / Ni-shell hybrid magnetic nanoparticles were prepared by emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization, emulsion polymerization and chemical metal deposition. In order to change surface charge of PMMA, we used variety of surfactant in the emulsion polymerization system before chemical metal deposition. PMMA / Ni hybrid nanoparticles were analyzed via SEM (scanning electron microscope), TEM (transmission electron microscopy), EDS (energy dispersive spectroscopy), TGA (thermogravimetric analysis). |
